Ben Purves – Ben is the Director of Student Ministries.  Relatively new to Occoquan Bible Church, he moved to Virginia in the summer of 2008 to take an internship at OBC.  In January of 2009, Ben joined the pastoral staff at OBC, where he works with the middle school, high school, and college students.  Ben met his wife Ricki while working on his Master of Arts in Biblical Studies at Capital Bible Seminary.

Louie Mingo – Louie is a deacon in the area of youth. He is an officer in the Air Force and is an avid hunter. Within the youth group, Louie oversees the monthly HARDROCKS.  He routinely teaches the junior high class on Sunday mornings and has two children in the youth group.

Rolland Watenpaugh – Rolland is a deacon in the area of youth.  He is a Fairfax County Police Officer and a former Helicopter operator.  He still flies helicopters, only they’re controlled by a small radio box.  Rolland oversees the youth areas of discipleship, outreach, games, and is our Sunday School council liason.

Alicia Cooper – It is always exciting for me to see God working in the lives of our Youth! Often known as the spastic one of the group, I have the honor and privilege of working with the HARDROCK Youth Praise Team and have a BLAST doing it!! As a Navy wife and full-time Mom, I’ve been able to travel the world, but eventually call Oklahoma my home state. When I’m not working with the Youth, people can usually find me either cooking, shopping, entertaining, being dramatic, gardening, tearing down walls in our house … or relaxing with family!

Roben Closs – James (my son) says that I am the omniscient gear of centrality without which the machine that is youth group would grind to a halt. I figure I’m a homeschooling mom with three boys that takes care of a lot of the administrative details.
